How to strengthen blood vessels on the face and remove redness. What causes the problem?

Removal of the vascular network is a non-invasive procedure that allows you to get rid of it. The principle of its action is based on a local effect on the vessel due to rapid heating and coagulation of blood in it. The latter causes gluing of the vascular walls, eliminating the problem. The duration of the procedure depends on the area of the surface being treated and can range from twenty minutes to one hour.

The phlebology department of CELT offers removal of vascular networks on the face and legs in Moscow. What is a vascular network and why does it appear?

Removal of the vascular network on the legs and face is aimed at eliminating a cosmetic defect that usually appears after thirty years. However, it is important for the patient to understand that such a procedure does not eliminate the cause of its formation. Vascular networks (or “stars”) are not just a “cost” of age. Often they are signs of the early stages of the development of serious diseases that need to be treated now.

The vascular network appears due to the expansion of small blood vessels located under the skin. It can have different shapes and be purple, red or blue. The mesh is localized on the legs and arms, and also (which is especially unpleasant) on the face. Its occurrence is due to the filling of blood vessels with blood, which allows them to be clearly visible under the skin. The reasons for its appearance vary: from congenital disposition to hormonal imbalances.

Despite the fact that the meshes themselves do not cause the development of certain clinical manifestations, they often foreshadow a serious illness. According to the international classification of chronic venous diseases “CEAP”, they are included in the early stage of diseases of the leg veins, which occur in a chronic form. This suggests that treatment should not be limited to laser removal of the vascular network. Consultation with a phlebologist and comprehensive diagnostic studies are necessary.

The reasons for the appearance of a network of blood vessels in women are as follows:

  • Hormonal imbalances;
  • A number of gynecological pathologies;
  • Taking hormonal contraceptives or replacement therapy;
  • Pregnancy and abortion.

In a third of women, a month and a half after giving birth, the mesh disappears without a trace. As for male patients, they often seek laser removal of the vascular network for the following reasons:

  • Chronic forms of venous insufficiency;
  • Liver disorders;
  • Increased permeability of vessel walls;
  • Connective tissue dysplasia;
  • Disturbances in the functioning of the cardiovascular system;
  • Stagnation of blood in the legs.

The above reasons are common to both sexes.

How to get rid of capillaries on the face using folk remedies at home

If you like natural products and not hardware cosmetology, then you can make them yourself. Treatment with masks will help remove the visible defect. Firming cream can be effective, but it will take time to get good results.

The network of veins on the face will definitely disappear if you use masks for treatment at home:

  • Make a cream from crushed potatoes and leave it on your face for 10 minutes. Then rinse with cold water.
  • You can turn to such a recipe as a chamomile mask. Brew the plant in hot water. When the infusion is brewed, dip a cotton swab into it and wipe the affected area with it for 10 minutes.
  • Problems with veins can be solved with apple cider vinegar. In this case, you should wipe the affected areas with it throughout the day.
  • You can help yourself get rid of the disease with the help of burdock juice. Just squeeze the juice out of the plant, soak gauze in it, and apply it to the affected area for 15 minutes a day.
  • You can use masks with bodyaga for treatment. To do this, the powder is poured with hot water until it dissolves and a porridge forms. Then the mixture is applied to the face.
  • Even children can use such a remedy as green tomato. It is simply applied to the affected area for 15 minutes.
  • A mask of chamomile and oatmeal will help relieve redness from varicose veins. This should be done until the problem completely disappears. Prepare the mask like this: take a spoonful of dried chamomile, oatmeal, add olive oil. The result will be a creamy mass for treatment. It is applied to the affected area for 20 minutes, then washed off.
  • There is no need to see a doctor if you use a mask of ascorutin and green tea. It is performed a couple of hours before bedtime. Ascorutin can be purchased at a pharmacy. After this, you need to brew 100 ml. tea. Then take 2 tablets of the drug and dissolve in tea. Then add a spoonful of white clay and milk to the resulting infusion. The mixture is thoroughly stirred until a paste forms. Next, all you have to do is apply the product for 20 minutes and leave it on. Then it is simply washed off.
  • If problems with veins begin to appear, nettle and its beneficial properties will help. They brew it, wait until the infusion cools down. Then make compresses soaked in the infusion, applying them a couple of times a day.

Methods for removing spider veins

Modern medicine has a wide range of techniques that allow you to effectively and painlessly get rid of an aesthetic defect in the form of a vascular network. Correct selection plays an important role and requires taking into account its type, severity and location. All methods are based on gluing the walls of the vessel, after which it ceases to function. The difference lies in the means of achieving this result.

Mesh removal methodDescription
Radio wave coagulationA non-contact method of removing mesh, involving the use of a device that creates high-frequency waves. They act on the vessel and coagulate it without injuring the tissue and eliminating scars, swelling and pain.
SclerotherapyThe gluing of the vascular walls occurs due to the injection of a special agent in the form of foam. After the procedure, the skin swells and turns red, requiring the application of a compression bandage. The full effect appears after a month and a half. The use of the technique is advisable in the presence of vascular networks on the legs.
Ozone therapyTo glue the vascular walls, an oxygen-ozone mixture is used, administered by injection.
Laser photocoagulationA targeted effect on the affected vessel occurs through a laser beam, which heats it, causing it to seal. The technique is optimal for removing vessels with a diameter of up to two millimeters.
ElectrocoagulationThe process involves high-frequency current, which causes cauterization of blood vessels. Its disadvantage is the high risk of skin damage, scar formation and pigmentation.

What are the reasons for this effect in an adult?

In adults, skin with a marbled pattern is almost always the subject of a doctor’s observation, since in adulthood a violet visible layer of blood vessels, or livedo in other words, cannot be the norm. Often this manifestation is associated with the presence of some negative processes in the body.

Reticular asphyxia appears for a number of reasons:

  • Marbling of the skin.
  • Developmental deviations.
  • Sneddon syndrome is a relationship between vasculitis and systemic vascular diseases such as stroke. This syndrome occurs due to certain genetic diseases.

Treatment

Depending on the method of treatment, the following measures for the treatment of livedo are distinguished:

  • Medicinal – use of medications (calcium containing preparations, nicotinic acid, vitamin C).
    If at this stage the signs of pathology disappear, it means that the reasons were associated with impaired blood supply to its tissues.
  • Physiotherapeutic – special skin massages and medicinal baths are used to improve blood circulation.
  • Hardware - specific therapies (laser, magnetic) are used to restore deep tissues.

In the age of high technology and developed medicine, reticular asphyxia can be controlled and not threaten the vital functions of the body, but, of course, for this it is necessary to regularly consult with specialists and follow all their instructions.

Diagnostics

Primary diagnosis begins with a thorough examination of the appearance of the patient's skin. Then, in 90% of cases, a person who contacts a specialist is sent for tests to exclude or identify deviations from the norm.

Based on the test results and visual examination, the specialist prescribes treatment.

In modern medicine there are many methods for diagnosing reticular asphyxia, for example:

  1. Study and analysis of the patient's heredity.
  2. X-ray of the performance area of the marble mesh. With the disease marbling of the skin, the bones become denser and appear opaque in the image.
  3. A blood test to determine the amount of phosphorus, calcium and ions in its composition, as well as a general blood test.
  4. Undergoing MRI and computed tomography. Such an examination shows the degree of tissue damage in each layer and states the level of sclerosis.
  5. Prenatal diagnosis.

Advantages of non-contact methods for removing spider veins

Laser and radio wave coagulation are non-contact methods that do not affect the skin in the area of the affected vessels. This ensures the effectiveness and safety of the procedure, as well as a number of other advantages:

  • The impact on the mesh occurs purposefully, without affecting healthy tissue;
  • There is no risk of scars or burn marks;
  • The painlessness of the procedure eliminates the need for anesthesia;
  • The procedure does not require much time and allows you to get rid of the vascular network at the last stage in 1-2 sessions;
  • Laser and radio wave effects have a positive effect not only on blood vessels, but also on the skin, causing a rejuvenating effect.

Definition and symptoms of reticular asphyxia

Reticular asphyxia (Livedo reticularis) is a symptom visually expressed in the form of a crimson-violet mesh that protrudes on the skin of a child or adult, resembling a pattern on a marble stone.
This manifestation acts both as an independent disease and as a consequence of other concomitant pathology in the body. A marbled pattern on the skin can also act as a side effect of medications, in particular medications used for Parkinson's disease.

In people suffering from marbling, such a purple mesh is localized along the upper part of the body, but partially affects the legs.

Reticular asphyxia is expressed as:

  • a crimson mesh appearing under the skin;
  • sheets of vessels protruding on the skin;
  • purple stains on the skin.

Facial gymnastics

If for some reason you do not want to solve the problem by visiting a beauty salon, good results can be achieved using facial gymnastics. This technique allows you to get rid of many skin ailments without the use of drug therapy, while simultaneously strengthening the facial muscles.

It is important to consider that in the presence of capillaries, active massage methods are contraindicated, as is the use of any massagers and cosmetic brushes.

The following set of exercises, which should be performed daily for 5 to 10 minutes, will also help improve blood circulation in the skin tissues:

  • press your palms to your face in the cheek area and begin quick up and down movements with slight pressure (not recommended for large affected areas);
  • stretch your lips in the shape of the letter “o” until you feel that the muscles of your cheeks are tense, try to hold in this position for as long as possible;
  • Having inflated one cheek, move the entire volume of air in the opposite direction, the exercise is performed for 1 - 2 minutes.

What is not recommended to do

Although the reasons for the appearance of capillaries on the face may be different, during treatment and during the period of remission it is necessary to adhere to the following recommendations that will help prevent relapse of rosacea:

  • stop smoking and drinking alcohol;
  • try to eliminate any stressful situations;
  • do not eat hot, spicy, fatty foods;
  • avoid sudden and frequent temperature changes;
  • do not use harsh types of facial massage;
  • do not use fruit and steam masks, especially when it gets warm;
  • exclude the use of scrubs with coarse particles;
  • do not use alcohol-based cosmetics;
  • Avoid using cosmetics containing honey or other bee products.

Care for couperose-prone skin

The line for sensitive skin is suitable for you. Nothing else! Only such products do not contain acids, which are unacceptable in the care of skin prone to rosacea. If you want to exfoliate your skin, use gamma or enzyme peels. Fruit and chemical peels are prohibited for you. Look for vitamins PP and K in creams - they may well penetrate to the depth of superficial vessels. And don't forget to use sunscreen regularly. In the city - with a value of 30, in areas with bright sunshine - 50.
