How to use dry chamomile for washing your face. How to use chamomile on your face

Chamomile lotions

Chamomile infusions and decoctions are used for lotions, but before applying the lotion, it is advisable to steam the skin by throwing a handful of chamomile into boiling water and observing safety precautions. This steam bath will expand the pores, which will help cleanse the skin better. Such lotions cleanse oily skin well, help remove blackheads that often accompany excessive oily skin, and help cope with acne.

For the lotion, soak a gauze napkin folded in several layers in a warm chamomile decoction, squeeze it out a little and apply it to the face, making slits for the eyes, nose and lips. Leave it on for 20-30 minutes, then do not wash your face. It is advisable to do such lotions once or twice a week; on other days, wipe your face with chamomile infusion twice a day.

Rubbing and washing with chamomile

For daily washing and wiping the skin, it is better to use chamomile infusion. A warm infusion of chamomile has a calming effect on the skin, while a cold infusion, on the contrary, tones it. In any case, such rubbing and washing have a beneficial effect on the skin, making it more elastic, clean and healthy.

We wipe our cleansed face with these cubes in the morning and evening; this procedure perfectly tones any skin type, improves complexion, smoothes out fine wrinkles, tightens and refreshes the skin, making it smoother. Chamomile ice also works well on problematic skin, relieving inflammation and soothing it. I really like to add a little mint to these cubes.

It is necessary to take into account that rubbing the face with ice cubes is a kind of facial massage and it should be done exclusively along massage lines. This is important, otherwise you can stretch the skin and make it loose.

Such an excellent procedure also has contraindications. Like any massage, massage with ice cubes cannot be performed if there are spider veins or vascular points on the face.

Chamomile for face wash. Tips for choosing chamomile

For washing, pharmaceutical chamomile is suitable, which can be found in any store. It is better to give preference to a product that is pre-packaged in special sachets that resemble large tea bags. In this case, you will not have to additionally strain the infusion through a strainer or gauze, which will significantly save time.

You can also try collecting field chamomile yourself. The flower grows in many climatic zones and is easy to find in fields, meadows and near rivers. It is important to remember that chamomile, like any plant, absorbs toxic substances well, so try to collect it as far as possible from roads or railways, away from factories and other industrial enterprises. The most optimal time to collect chamomile is mid-June. It is worth choosing healthy flowers without signs of visual defects, for example, such as wilted leaves, petals with a yellow tint or black specks. You should also not collect plants that have aphids on their stems.

After collecting the chamomile, you need to rinse it lightly under cool water, get rid of dust and soil, remove already withered flowers and excess plants that have accidentally fallen in. Then carefully separate the inflorescences from the stems and leaves, lay them out on newspaper and place them in a dark, dry and cool place. A common mistake is to dry plants in direct sunlight, such as on a windowsill. Direct sunlight destroys useful elements, leaving only empty dried flowers.
