What I expect from eyelid creams and serums is, first of all, hydration, as well as nutrition, smoothing out fine wrinkles, and not causing swelling and allergies, of course.
1. Lancome Absolue Yeux Precious Cells Advanced Regenerating and Repairing Eye Care - cream for intensive skin restoration of the eye contour
The cream is positioned for intensive restoration of the skin of the eye contour of any age: for those whose skin is damaged (UV, lifestyle, stress, etc.) and who are bothered by dark circles and puffiness. The manufacturer promises that after 7 days: the skin of the epidermis is restored, the skin around the eyes becomes smooth, looks rested and radiant, and wrinkles are smoothed out.
The active ingredients stated are: Swiss apple cellular plant extract and Pro-Xylane™ molecule, which reconstruct the space surrounding epidermal stem cells, starting the process of skin self-regeneration. The “Anti Eye Bag” complex eliminates puffiness and prevents the appearance of dark circles under the eyes, and micro pearls give the skin radiance.
It is worth noting that the Absolue line is considered one of the 2 most premium in the Lancome brand, as evidenced by the packaging itself - beautiful glass gold jars, high-quality materials and very aesthetically pleasing in appearance. It’s a pleasure to keep this on a shelf in the bathroom.
And so, about the cream: The cream is in a classic glass jar, there was no spatula in the set, but I usually either scoop it out with a disposable stick or (sorry) with my finger. The cream has a very thick thick consistency. But despite this, it is easily distributed over the eyelid (unlike Khiels with avocado). It is not absorbed very quickly, about 10 minutes, leaving behind a velvety finish. Silicones are immediately felt, there is nothing to hide: the skin of the eyelids is velvety to the touch, but at the same time nourished. I would call it nocturnal, though. It is nutritious, and unfortunately not at all moisturizing. To be honest, I don’t understand why not add moisturizers to every nourishing cream? After all, wrinkles often appear precisely because of the lack of good hydration. And no matter how much you nourish/restore the skin of your eyelids, if there is no hydration, then wrinkles will not only remain in place, but may even appear even more. The cream, although nourishing, is not heavy at all. In the summer I use it at night with pleasure. It perfectly nourishes and restores the skin of the eyelids after exposure to the sun (and I have it very sensitive to the sun). It doesn’t cause swelling in the morning, and it’s hard for me to judge the dark circles - I’m the mother of a one-year-old child who sleeps very poorly at night, so constant sleepless nights and chronic lack of sleep have become companions of my daily life. Therefore, no cream will save in such conditions :(
Overall, the cream is very pleasant, but, again, I personally don’t get enough hydration from it. If you compare it with the Anna-Marie Borlind cream, about which I once wrote an enthusiastic post, then it clearly loses. Because in addition to super moisturizing and nourishing, Anna-Marie Borlind cream is also at a Mega price ($23) - 5 times cheaper than Lancome.
But since the cream was a gift, I, of course, am very happy about it, since I myself can’t afford to buy such expensive care now :)

2. Lancome Absolue serum yeux precious cells Global Multi-Restorative Eye Concentrate - serum for global restoration of the eye contour.
The jar is very beautiful, the dispenser is practical, but not very convenient: it is difficult to squeeze out the required amount, usually more comes out than necessary. And when the product dries up on the dispenser, then you generally need to pump it up several times to get it to work, and as a result, a large portion of serum splashes out, which is enough for at least 10 pairs of eyes. In general, they did something clever with the packaging...
The manufacturer promises us that the beautiful golden jar contains simply the Holy Grail for the eyes. Global restoration covers five areas of the skin around the eyes. The concentrate effectively smoothes out frowns between the eyebrows, improves the tone of the upper eyelid, reduces wrinkles in the corners of the eyes, reduces swelling and swelling of the eyelids, lightens dark circles, eliminates wrinkles under the eyes, and fills the area of the upper cheekbone with volume.
My opinion about the serum: The product has a light consistency, pearly milky color. In summer it can replace morning cream. Absorbs very quickly, leaving soft silky skin. The serum very smoothes and tightens the skin, wrinkles instantly become smaller. Slightly moisturizes, but does not nourish. Paired with the cream described above, they work well at night, but I still don’t have enough hydration that I’m used to - so that my skin feels wow-well nourished. The serum definitely works to restore the skin, fight wrinkles, and improvements have been noticed. But there is one drawback - the serum is so active that with constant daily use, the skin of the eyelids begins to react with allergies: dryness, peeling, redness, itching. If you use it 2-3 times a week, then everything is ok. For myself, I decided to use it this way. Even with this frequency of use, the serum works well. I don’t use it in the morning now, I apply it 2-3 times a week under the cream in the evening. In general, I believe that I simply do not yet have those age-related problems on my eyelids for the serum to give the promised effect. It would be suitable for those whose eyelid skin really requires drastic solutions. I do not recommend it to those with sensitive eyelid skin. In my case, this serum was a gift in a set with cream, but I would hardly have bought it myself (especially considering the price).

3. Vichy Aqualia Thermal Awakening Eye Balm - awakening eye balm
I bought this product after I realized that Lancome Absolue did not moisturize at all. I needed a light moisturizer for the morning and I got it. Very convenient packaging and high quality, if only all creams were in such pumps with a dispenser! The dispenser is pressed very easily and therefore you can squeeze out exactly as much product as needed.
The manufacturer says that this balm based on thermal water, which helps the skin wake up in the morning, eliminates dark circles, puffiness, and signs of fatigue. The effect of thermal water is enhanced by caffeine, hyaluronic acid and carrageenans.
The balm is a cloudy blue color. Very easy to apply and spread on the skin. When applied, silicones are felt (well, where would we be without them). After application, the skin is velvety and soft, moisturized and smooth. You only need a little bit of it. Absorbs quickly and is perfect as a makeup base. I don’t know what I meant, there’s not much that can “wake me up” in the morning after sleepless nights with my daughter, but in the morning it’s very pleasant to use. Of course, it doesn’t remove bags and signs of fatigue, but it moisturizes and gives the skin a more rested look, yes. I use it with great pleasure. The only negative point for me is that when applied, you feel a little silicone, I don’t really like it, but I forgive this balm. The main thing is that the product moisturizes, this is what I was looking for in general, and this is the only thing I expected from the product. That's why I give him an A. And it is also good for sensitive eyelids.

4. Lancome Visionnaire Yeux Eye On Correction Advanced Multi-Corrective Eye Balm - moisturizing and correcting cream for the skin around the eyes
I got this cream last year. It was a new thing back then. Since I respect and once enjoyed using their face serum from this Visionnaire line, I decided that the under-eye cream should also be excellent. The manufacturer promises hydration, and also that the cream will remove all skin imperfections, such as wrinkles, bruises and bags under the eyes.
One of the clear advantages is a plastic pump with a convenient dispenser. I understand more and more that this is the best format of care for me, but, unfortunately, it is not always possible to find the necessary care in such packages.
The cream itself has a slightly strange consistency - a thick soufflé, more like... But applying and distributing it is quite easy and pleasant. The skin of the eyelids is immediately evened out and a matte velvet finish appears. An ideal base for makeup. I cannot evaluate all the effects of this cream in terms of moisturizing and other promises, since the cream, to my great regret, caused an allergy. After 10 days of 2-time use, the skin of the eyelids began to turn red, then began to peel and itch, and in the morning the eyelids also began to swell very much. Of course I canceled the cream. I had to save everything with pharmaceutical eye ointment. Then I tried again to try this cream, but the result was the same - an allergy. The cream is pleasant, but definitely not for sensitive eyelids. I know girls who are delighted with this cream, so I think that this is just an individual reaction for me.

In search of a remedy for wrinkles around the eyes, I decided to try Vichy's anti-wrinkle eye contour cream. What was especially important to me was that it is suitable for sensitive skin and is hypoallergenic. The complex effect on the skin around the eyes is due to the composition, which includes VICHY SPA thermal water, rhamnose 10%, white wax, dextran sulfate, escin, caffeine.
VICHY SPA thermal water strengthens and saturates the skin with moisture and has anti-edematous properties. Rhamnose (vegetable sugar from tropical plants) has a very small molecular size, which allows it to penetrate deeply into the lower layers of the skin and trigger the process of new cells, stimulates the active production of collagen, and, therefore, starts the process of skin rejuvenation from the inside.
White wax, without clogging pores, forms a protective film on the skin, slows down the dehydration process and makes the skin around the eyes elastic and smooth. Dextran sulfate, which is part of the anti-wrinkle cream for the eye contour from Vichy, has a pronounced anti-edematous effect, improving microcirculation in the vessels on the surface of the skin. Escin is able to increase the tone of blood vessels, and therefore the skin, since the skin around the eyes is riddled with blood vessels. The effects of caffeine have long been known to everyone.
