Hello everyone, dear readers. I had the idea of creating such a post for quite a long time, I finally got around to it and I hope that someone will be able to glean useful information for themselves from my story.
A very long introduction, but without such a preface it will be more difficult to understand the essence of my problem.
I am almost forty years old and for the last decade I have been suffering from a persistent papulopustular form of acne of moderate severity, in other words, it is a scattering of rather large bright red deep pimples, they are accompanied by all types of comedones, wide clogged pores, increased skin greasiness, etc. . I mainly have damage to the cheeks, nasolabial triangle and chin.
I tried all possible external pharmaceutical preparations, I don’t think I missed anything, some of them had a more or less pronounced effect, some were useless, some had a temporary effect, but, in general, the process was rapidly gaining momentum.
Before La Roche-Posay cosmetics appeared in my life, my skincare routine consisted of a wild variety of products in any price segment - of course, you won’t spare any money to treat your skin. Either this is some kind of failed product from the brand, or my skin is not designed for its use. The effect of the product on me appeared almost from the first days of use, and at first it was quite strange. The pimples themselves - quite huge and disgustingly purple, I must say - began to shrink almost hourly - this effect struck me to the very heart. I have never experienced such rapid healing of papules/pustules. But at the same time, the product managed to clog the pores on my cheeks to quite significant comedones. Those. It began to dissolve and exfoliate papules and pustules in record speed, and at the same time a bunch of open comedones appeared. My cosmetologist and I were very perplexed by this picture, and after two weeks they just as strangely and completely dissolved/dissolved/removed without any influence on my part and never returned (ttt).
I use the cream-gel once a day, at night, alternating with another cream. Upon a quick study, I found out that the cream gel contains niacinamide, salicylic acid and zinc, the full composition is indicated in a separate special block.
After a year of using this product, I can conclude that this is one of the best products for my problem skin that I have ever come across. It reduces acne in record time, and the site of inflammation peels off quite significantly, but only what was inflammation is peeled off, and not the plus two cm around it. The pimple literally falls off as a crust, and the terrible dark spots after inflammation peel off longer, but also strictly along the border of redness and still happens much faster than before using this product.
The cream-gel had a curious effect on my clogged pores. My nose, and not only it, was covered with very deep black dots. So, when I used this gel, the contents of the pores on my nose began to rise in columns on the surface of the skin, and in the morning I simply picked them up with tweezers and collected them. It sounds disgusting, of course, and I wouldn’t have the courage to show such an effect to the public, but it happened.

The cream is pale yellow in color, placed in a white tin tube of 30 ml, the aroma is weak and absorbs quickly. Its texture is the most ordinary, nothing remarkable - cream like cream.
Non-greasy, does not irritate the skin, did not cause me any flaking or exacerbation of urinary ulcers, despite the content of retinol - on the contrary, it slightly reduced oiliness and, paired with La Roche-Posay Effaclar duo(+) corrective unclogging care anti - imperfections, worked very hard to eliminate acne from my skin. In addition, it helps me in removing dark spots from the skin after the inflammatory elements have resolved. It’s difficult for me to note the anti-aging effect - that’s not what I used it for. I did not focus on this point, but I consider the product to be a personal must-have in the fight against acne and control oily skin.

The next product from LA ROCHE POSAY in my cosmetic bag was the corrective emulsion La Roche-Posay Effaclar k(+) oily skin renovating care
My idea was to use La Roche-Posay Effaclar duo(+)corrective unclogging care anti-imperfections corrective cream-gel for problem skin against imperfections and post-acne at night, alternating it with retinol cream Redermic R anti-ageing concentrate, and use it for the day this emulsion, because it promised us mattification, smoothing of skin texture and cleansing of pores.
The emulsion is placed in a plastic tube, volume - 40 ml, no aroma, texture - liquid cream. It is absorbed without leaving a trace in about 1 minute, but - an important point - you need to use it in micro quantities, otherwise the skin absorbs it poorly and it will be felt. This amount of emulsion is enough to apply on the forehead.
Speaking about its effect when applied, I will probably say that it is difficult for me to note a separate effect of the product on me. I can really note a slight decrease in skin oiliness, slightly cleaner pores, but whether this is attributable to this particular emulsion, or the entire care system built on products from La Roche-Posay gave such an effect, you can’t say. In any case, the product is comfortable when used, does not cause visible peeling, does not clog pores - and just takes part in their micro-exfoliation, provides some, but weak, hydration and does not provoke any rashes.
I find it difficult to evaluate it separately, I repeat, as well as to highlight its mastery for myself, because I have built a whole system of care in which it has taken its place, but since the stated promises are true for me, and it has not provoked any problems, I will give it the highest rating with a caveat - when used with all the products indicated in the review.

I can’t help but note that it is also lacking comedogenicity and the ability to provoke new acne. I use it two to three times a week according to skin needs.
This cream did not become my favorite for the following reason - I feel it on my skin. Yes, he is working. Yes, it soothes, moisturizes, removes flaking, tightness, dryness and does not provoke trouble. Yes, this is a working product that fully fulfills its obligations, but it is uncomfortable for me to moisturize with it on a regular daily basis; the slightest sensation of cosmetics on the skin throws me out of mental balance)). My opinion about this mask is this. This is certainly a working product that perfectly cleanses my skin and has a significant positive effect on inflammation, reducing it and healing it. To talk about mattifying and controlling excess sebum when applied a couple of times a week for five minutes - the manufacturer, in my opinion, went overboard. I notice a certain mattifying effect, but it is quite weak; I am much more attracted by the cleansing properties of this product. In addition, let me rant about the packaging - the overly hard plastic makes it almost impossible to remove the mask when about a fifth of it remains in the tube.

I will say right away that the impressions from what I have tried are contradictory; there are both useless and incomparable means. I don’t remember the exact prices, but everything was within 900 rubles.
About my skin: problematic combination. It is very easy to dry out to a completely indigestible state, and at the same time there is an oily sheen in the T-zone. Enlarged pores, periodic rashes, in general, the complete package. And when I started using La Roche-Posay, something hellish was happening on my face. At the same time as La Roche-Posay, I started treatment from the inside (for girls, which I advise everyone to do), which together gave a very decent result.
Effaclar Duo - anti-acne cream-gel
In theory: Effaclar Duo cream-gel based on La Roche-Posay thermal water simultaneously fights two problems - clogged pores and local inflammation. The four active components in the cream work in several directions at once: niacinamide stops the development of inflammation, a special antibacterial component prevents yeast from developing, and a complex of two acids eliminates dead skin cells and replenishes the lack of essential substances in the skin. Together they effectively eliminate existing imperfections and prevent the appearance of new ones.
The product turned out to be very light, it is quickly absorbed and is an excellent base for makeup.
My subjective opinion: It was this remedy that left the most vivid impression on my fragile psyche. It is very light, practically odorless, fits quite well on the skin, without leaving a film or pulling. It is also absorbed quite quickly. And this is all good, of course, but the main thing is the effect. And he was so healthy. After just a few days of use, improvements were noticeable. Moreover, the very next day this miracle remedy pulled out a couple of subcutaneous tissues, which, in my uninformed opinion, were not going to appear in the light of day for another month or two. Being completely delighted, I applied it both in the morning (by the way, makeup goes on well on it, if, of course, you don’t overdo it with the cream itself) and in the evening. And I couldn’t be happier with the condition of my skin: there were fewer pimples, those that existed were ripe and ready for ruthless destruction, and the new ones disappeared just as quickly. But. Not even a week had passed before the entire skin of my face began to peel like hell, just peeling off in flakes. The consultant at the pharmacy warned me about these possible consequences and recommended that if my skin “asks for a drink,” I should buy another moisturizer and use Duo only once a day, which is what I did. And you know, everyone really looks better and healthier every day!

Effaclar H is a soothing moisturizer.
In theory: moisturizes skin irritated during acne treatment, thanks to the lipid content, which helps restore the hydrolipid film. Increases the protective function of the skin due to the patented component Ceramide 5, La Roche-Posay thermal water, bisabololol, which softens and moisturizes the skin.
My opinion: Medium density cream, without smell or any other special features. First the good stuff: it's really moisturizing. The peeling on the face began to disappear before our eyes. However, I did not notice a miraculous effect on irritated and reddened areas of the skin. That is, it turns out that the cream copes with its task by half. But this is not the only reason why I will not buy it again, but will continue to search for my ideal moisturizer. The fact is that Effaclar H lays on the skin with a glossy film, which does not look particularly aesthetically pleasing, and generally excludes the option of applying makeup on it. If you run your hand over the skin even a couple of hours after application, a nasty shine will remain on your hand. And during the morning wash (I apply the cream, naturally, at night), it is still felt and as if washed off. In general, it would have received an absolute D if it weren’t for the hydration, but it is present and quite good. But, of course, this is not an option for the summer, and I’m unlikely to buy it next winter.

Effaclar H. Cleansing soothing mousse.
In theory: Cleansing problematic skin prone to dryness. Indications for use: Oily, dry, problematic skin. Description: Perfectly cleanses and soothes problematic skin. My opinion: It was love at first time, I’m not afraid of this word. First, texture. Very dense foam that pours out (or what does it do there?) in sufficient quantities when you press the dispenser for half a second. Applying it is incredibly pleasant and very funny, especially for those who see you doing this simple activity (well, it’s not every day you see a girl with thick foam on her chin)). I must say that this is my first wash (and I tried a huge number of pharmaceutical products, and luxury, and once a lot), after which the redness does not begin to play with all shades of scarlet, but rather is muted. Skin color really evens out. And with all this lightness and tenderness, the mousse cleanses perfectly. In general, I haven’t found any analogues yet and I’m unlikely to ever find them.

Hydraphase mask
In theory: The Hydraphase Mask is designed to deliver, fix and distribute moisture in the surface layers of the skin. The mask has an intense moisturizing effect thanks to the combination of sodium salt of hyaluronic acid and special moisturizing components. Has a light refreshing texture.
My opinion: In addition to the cream and to enhance the effect, I also bought a mask. In appearance, consistency and smell - an ordinary cream, without miracles. One packet is more than enough for the whole face. So, we smear it on, leave it for 10 minutes, and then remove what is not absorbed with a napkin. It must be said that even after this, the remnants of the mask on the face look as unaesthetic as the above-mentioned moisturizer. And I always have a phobia that I just wash this mask on the pillow) But no, when you wash your face the next morning, you get the complete impression that the mask was not absorbed in principle, but remained quietly on the upper layer of the epidermis. Surely, after reading the previous 5 lines, you definitely decided never to buy this mask, but, you know, oddly enough, it really moisturizes well. Severe peeling went away after a couple of uses, but now I can only occasionally maintain the result.
