I purchased the Essence Coverstick concealer pencil over a year ago in shade 06 - Matt Ivory. By the way, I still have it, I used half of it. Let me start, perhaps, with what problems Essence Coverstick is suitable for masking. Acne, inflammation. That's all. But I’m not complaining, because the manufacturer claims it is antibacterial for problem skin. Therefore, trying to apply such a product under the eyes is an initially unsuccessful idea. Well, why do we need an antibacterial effect under our eyes? Lighter corrective textures are used for the under-eye area. A little about consistency. And it, in my opinion, is dense, which has a good effect on its masking properties, but is a bit dry. As a result, if your color problem is accompanied by flaking, then the pencil will emphasize it (flaking). So I would have preferred a slightly creamier texture. Application. There is a kind of vicious circle here. In theory, to make the texture of the product a little more pliable and not so dry, the pencil should be applied to the problem with your finger. Under the influence of body heat it becomes softer. But if the problem is a tiny pimple, for example, then you can’t apply the pencil normally with your finger, because. Strictly targeted application is required. For these purposes I have a brush. It is indeed more convenient to apply, but when applied this way it goes on drier. This is a vicious circle. About applying from a stick to the skin. This is convenient as long as the pencil tip is pointed. And it behaves just as dryly as when applied with a brush. Bottom line. If you apply the Essence Coverstick concealing pencil to inflammations that do not peel off, it works well: it conceals, holds well, and dries. Although there are difficulties in application. If you plan to use it under your eyes, you will be disappointed. It was not originally intended for this. I won't buy it again. It seems that everything with him is not so bad, but it’s not my thing.

I became acquainted with the Essence brand concealing pencil in the shade 01 beige about 10 months ago. I bought it at the Podruzhka store for 173 rubles. The price is decent for this product. It doesn’t work miracles and won’t make you a fashion model with a perfectly straight face. But it's perfect as a roadside emergency. My skin is prone to acne on my chin. Oily in the T-zone. So I threw this concealer into my cosmetic bag, with which I go to work or go wherever I need to. And in case of any rash, I can always correct this problem anywhere, on the bus, subway, on the go. The product has good quality and a pleasant texture. It is creamy but not greasy. Leaves a matte finish. A good workhorse. But I don't like the packaging at all. The corrector is made in the form of a stick, like a tube of lipstick. But unlike lipstick, for some reason it collects all the dust, dirt and God knows what else on the stick. But it's compact and does what it says. I won't buy it again. I will look for a more worthy replacement, but until I run out, I will definitely use it.

This pencil usually costs 100-120 rubles. I have another concealing pencil, also from Avon, and even a review of it. Only that pencil is called more pretentiously, “Ideal Color Corrector,” and costs twice as much, despite the fact that it weighs only about 2 g. And there is no difference between this and that….

Both the first and second are available in two shades, beige and light beige. Both of them look similar to ordinary lipstick. The only difference is in the color and shape of the case; for Color Trend it is white, for the corrector it is black. As for the masking qualities, they are indistinguishable even under a microscope)) Both pencils have their advantages. and so are the disadvantages. Both mask spots, pimples and minor redness well. Both are quite dense, even a little hard for me.

And both are good only for the cool season - because in the summer they look too light, and therefore are noticeable on a tanned face.

I took this cheap camouflage pencil out of necessity, because the previous one somehow unexpectedly ran out, and the wait for the order was long. And I was pleasantly surprised))

The only thing I took off a whole star for was the tube. In the photo you can see new and almost finished pencils. Half of the pencil is made in the shape of a lipstick, and half (no less) remains in the recess, from where you want to take it out. This “hole” is exactly as deep as the transparent part of the tube.

This was once my very first concealer pencil. Now I've tried a lot. This one has a very affordable price (only 99r). I use it all the time, so I have to buy it often.

Externally very similar to lipstick. Actually very easy to use.

I always have some kind of problem with bruises under my eyes. I used to only use foundation, I can’t imagine how I lived without a concealer. I always take the lightest shade, even on tanned skin it looks great and doesn’t stand out. Lasts a long time. At first I didn’t like the feel of it, but then I got used to it. By the way, I’m warning you that if you apply too much (too much), it may roll off. If in moderation there will be no such problems. Doesn't help against redness and pimples. It doesn't last more than half an hour, so it's probably not worth buying for that. And this is an excellent alternative to expensive ones (if you don’t want to spend a lot of money like me). And yes, I forgot, it is not suitable for dry skin, it will only emphasize the dryness.

In principle, I recommend it. I’ll definitely order again myself, but for now I’m looking for something better.

While looking through the Avon catalog, I came across this pencil. Cost 99 rubles. I decided to try it). The appearance is very similar to lipstick. By the way, there is also Avon Color trend lipstick (I haven’t tried it). This product is supposed to mask skin imperfections. I bought the lightest shade (2 in total), even though it was summer. Suitable for slightly tanned skin. Concealed dark circles under the eyes. It doesn’t disguise anything anymore, but on the contrary, attracts attention. I can’t use it in winter, so it’s been sitting almost idle for a year now. A pencil is suitable if you went to a photo shoot and have a red pimple. It won't be visible in the photo. But if a person comes closer than a meter, then you can immediately see the places where the pencil was applied. If the pimple has dried out a little, you can see the scales. If the wen is red, then the head of the pimple remains visible.
