Currently, the search for such means continues; every woman dreams of preserving her youth and beauty for many years. In this case, there is an alternative to rejuvenating apples, this is a rejuvenating pear. Or, as it was dubbed, alligator pear. We're talking about avocados.

For cosmetic purposes, avocado oil is mainly used for the face. This is what can rejuvenate the skin. By the way, in South America, since ancient times, representatives of the fairer sex have used this fruit for cosmetic purposes. The benefits of avocado are priceless, so we will talk about this product, namely the oil obtained from it.

Avocado oil: properties and use in cosmetology

Each component of our fruit butter in itself has great benefits for the whole body, and together they are a powerful healing unit.

So, what properties does it have:

  1. oleic acid in its composition increases skin turgor, accelerates the process of rejuvenation of the epidermis, restores collagen fibers;

  5. This is a strong allergen, so do not forget to do a tolerance test, do not exceed the dosage indicated in the recipe, and do not use avocado oil immediately before going out into the sun.

Briefly about the plant and its enormous benefits

This plant has great benefits for humans.

The tree grows where the climate is warm. These are mainly Mexico, Israel, South America, California, etc. The avocado tree belongs to the laurel family, its berries are green and shaped like a pear. The word berry was not written by chance, since avocado is precisely a berry, but in everyday vocabulary it has become entrenched as a fruit.

The oil is prepared by cold pressing from the pulp of the fruit; sometimes the seeds are also used. This method allows you not to lose all the beneficial elements of the fruit. So, you can be sure that all the beneficial qualities of avocado have been preserved in the oil, namely vitamin complexes, minerals, etc.

Externally, avocado oil resembles green grounds and tastes nutty. If you leave it in the sun, it will turn brownish.

Its yellowish tint indicates refining; such a product is less valuable.

It is beneficial to use the oil internally as it contains various beneficial properties. Here's just a small part of them:

  • Acids: linoleic, linolenic, palmitolenic, oleic, stearic.
  • Vitamins: A, B1, B2, D, E, K, PP.
  • Potassium.
  • Squalene.
  • Lecithin.
  • Chorophyll.
  • Zinc.
  • Histidine.
  • Phytosterols, etc.

You should take avocado oil at least 2 times a day, 1 teaspoon, 40 minutes before meals. The course of treatment lasts on average 20-30 days, then you need to take a break.

Avocado oil for face - reviews

I won’t talk for a long time about the beneficial properties of avocado oil; there is already a lot of information about its healing properties. I really love masks, and especially with the addition of avocado oil with its natural content of vitamins, the skin after using such a mask is very fresh, moisturized and simply glows with health!

To make an avocado oil mask you will need only 4 ingredients:

  • Avocado oil – 5-6 drops.
  • Lemon juice - half a teaspoon.
  • Quail egg – 1 pc.
  • A teaspoon of thick homemade sour cream.

Thoroughly mix all the components of the future mask until smooth.

The mixture will turn out to be thin, as it should be, so the ingredients of the mask will be better absorbed into the skin.

For ease of application, it is advisable to use a cotton pad.

After the mixture is absorbed into the skin - this is about 5-10 minutes - you should apply another layer of the mask, and after a short period of time repeat again. This multi-layer application will help to deeply moisturize the skin. Rinse off the mixture with slightly warm water. The mask washes off very well without leaving any greasy marks on the skin. Pat your face dry with a towel and apply your daily nourishing cream. By the way, you can also add 1-2 drops of avocado oil to it.

If you periodically (3-4 times a week) take care of yourself in this way, your skin will glow with beauty and youth. Verified.

Beneficial features

The wide range of beneficial properties of avocado oil is explained by the following substances in its composition:

  • vitamins: groups B, A, C, D and F;
  • micro- and macroelements: phosphorus, iron, potassium, calcium, magnesium, iodine, manganese;
  • saturated and unsaturated fatty acids: palmitic, oleic, linolenic, linoleic, palmitoleic;
  • chlorophyll;
  • squalene;
  • lecithin.

The vitamin E content of oil is 5 times higher than that of fish oil, and F content is 3 times higher. A product obtained by cold pressing has more benefits than one produced by hot extraction. In the first option, more useful components valuable for the human body are preserved.

Against this background, the following medicinal properties of avocado oil are highlighted:

  • antioxidant;
  • regenerating;
  • anti-inflammatory;
  • antibacterial;
  • cleansing;
  • bactericidal.

The oil has a beneficial effect on all skin types, but the greatest restorative effect is noticeable on dry and aging skin. This is explained by the nourishing, softening and moisturizing properties of the product, which, when deeply penetrated into the epidermis, rejuvenates it at the cellular level.

Vitamin E promotes the formation of a film on the surface of the skin, which protects it from the harmful effects of external factors. Along with this, there is no loss of moisture, which helps improve skin tone and elasticity. And thanks to phytohormones, the epidermis is completely renewed.

Avocado oil is considered an effective preventative against age spots if used daily.

The product eliminates inflammatory processes on the surface of the skin and prevents the formation of small cracks, peeling, and irritation. The oil removes oily shine and normalizes the functions of the sebaceous glands. Its regular use improves skin microcirculation, saturates it with oxygen and stimulates the synthesis of natural collagen.

Avocado oil for hands

The skin of your hands requires proper care no less than the skin of your face. If our cheeks suffer from cold, dry air, then our hands come into contact with detergents every day. Just washing dishes can make you feel dry. If you do not pay attention to the first signs, peeling, microcracks, and sensitivity will soon be added to dryness.

To take care of your hands, simply add a few drops of the product to your moisturizer. Do this procedure before going to bed so as not to come into contact with various aggressive compounds longer and provide peace to the skin of your hands.

Types of oils and their beneficial effects on the body

There are several types of avocado oil.

Hydrophilic

Its main purpose is cosmetic use. The product helps to deeply cleanse the skin and moisturize it. This type can be used to remove makeup and clean problem skin. Thanks to it, the appearance of the face improves and metabolic processes are normalized.

When using hydrophilic oil, the elasticity and tone of the skin increases due to increased production of elastin and collagen.

Essential

Its benefit lies in the content of saturated fatty acids and the absence of heavy compounds. This type is the safest and is hypoallergenic.

Can be used in its pure form. This type is used for preparing dietary dishes.

Refined

The oil is completely free of impurities and has gone through several stages of purification. This is the lightest type in consistency. Almost no odor or foreign taste. Its color may be pale yellow or absent. The shelf life and storage life of such oils is higher than that of other types.

The oil is completely free of impurities and has gone through several stages of purification.

Unrefined

This oil undergoes only primary, “rough” purification, so it retains the maximum amount of useful substances. The product is thick, dense, has a pronounced odor and a rich greenish-yellow color. The shelf life is short, since its components evaporate quickly naturally.

Unrefined oil can be of two types:

  1. Hot pressed . Primary heat treatment is carried out, during which water is added to the seeds to avoid “roasting”. Next, the seeds fall under the press, and as a result the oil turns out thicker and darker. This product is considered more tasty, but less healthy. A large number of useful components are destroyed under the influence of temperature.
  2. Cold pressed. It is also called cheese-pressed. It undergoes shorter heat treatment, at a temperature not exceeding 42 degrees. This guarantees maximum preservation of beneficial microelements in the oil.

Benefits for eyelashes

Thick and lush eyelashes can be your own, real ones, if you care for them correctly. Avocado oil is just the perfect remedy for them. It can be used on its own: pour into a mascara tube and use slow movements, similar to coloring. This invisible mascara itself spreads along the entire length of the eyelash, nourishes the follicle, and gives the eyelashes shine.

The oil can also be used as a separate ingredient in a multicomponent composition. The recipe for a nourishing eyelash mask is simple: take castor, avocado, and burdock oil and add a mixture of vitamins A and E. Apply using mascara.

Eyelash compress is another amazing remedy that restores its former shine and strength. Prepare a decoction of parsley and aloe juice. These two ingredients, together with avocado oil, are taken in equal proportions 1:1:1. The mixture is heated in a water bath, cotton pads are moistened and placed on the eyelashes. After 20 minutes you need to wash your face, but don’t overdo it - don’t rub your eyes too much.

Application options

Alligator pear oil is a base product that can be applied undiluted or included in various cosmetic formulations.

Without additives

Avocado oil can be simply applied to the skin, including under the eyes . First you need to cleanse your face well, then apply the warmed product in a thin layer with your fingers or a brush. It is recommended to carry out a light massage session - tap your fingertips on the surface of the skin, “driving” the oil into the epidermis.

To get rid of facial wrinkles, it is very useful to make lotions from warm oil. You need to prepare pieces of bandage folded in two or three layers of such size that you can cover the wrinkles. Soak gauze in heated oil and apply to problem areas of the face. You can cover your face with a towel on top. After half an hour, remove the gauze and blot the skin.

If you need to get rid of wrinkles on your forehead, then put a piece of parchment on top of the gauze soaked in oil and secure this compress with an elastic bandage. You can walk with this compress for several hours.

With ready-made cosmetics

This use option will allow you to use the product more economically. Before applying a cream, a ready-made store-bought mask or other product, you need to add a few drops of oil to a measured portion. Then apply the product as usual.

This method will allow you to enrich finished cosmetics with valuable substances. At the same time, you can add the product to any cosmetics, from simple baby cream to expensive anti-aging serums.

UV protection

To prevent your skin from losing moisture when exposed to the sun, it is recommended to prepare the following simple composition:

  • 30 ml oil;
  • 12 drops of lavender essential oil.

Shake the ingredients and pour into a small spray bottle. Before going outside in sunny weather, spray your face with it.

Avocado body oil

Damaged skin, preparing for age-related changes, dry skin - all these are signals for help. And here the use of our ingredient is an excellent and effective tool. Regular massaging of the skin with this composition will not only moisturize, but also improve blood circulation, trigger active collagen production, and soften rough parts. For additional effect, you can add lemon, rosemary and fennel ether.

For Tan

You won’t be able to simply apply avocado essential oil and expect a bronzed skin tone. But you can use one trick to enhance the effect. How to get the perfect tan:

  1. Skin peeling is required. There is no place for dead cells on your body.
  2. Moisturize your skin.
  3. Apply oil or ester mixture.
  4. Choose the right time to tan. The sun's rays can be dangerous; do not go out of the shade if the ultraviolet index is equal to or greater than 8.

The most effective for enhancing tanning are apricot and avocado oils.

You can also prepare the following mixture. Take the following oils:

  • 1 tsp. avocado;
  • 1 tbsp. l. sesame;
  • 1 tsp. wheat germ ether;
  • 1 tsp each hazelnut and walnut esters;
  • 4 drops of patchouli;
  • 1.5 drops of calendula.

For dry and sensitive skin, this recipe is a real salvation. Can also be used as an independent body care product.

Women's opinion

Excellent reviews from women are the best advertisement for any cosmetic product. The results of using alligator pear oil are almost always good.

Cosmetic oils, in my opinion, rejuvenate the skin much more effectively than even the most expensive creams. Personally, avocado oil works great for me. This is a universal product, I use it instead of cream. Sometimes the oil is mixed with a drop of ethers. I especially like adding rosemary or lemon essential oil. I apply the mixture at night and in the morning my skin looks great.

I have sensitive skin, so it took me a long time to find cosmetics. I only used baby cream. And then I “discovered” oils. I especially liked the avocado oil. It is quite thick, but absorbs well, and the skin looks great after it.

Avocado is an exotic product that stands out for its oily consistency, which makes it possible to obtain healing oil from it that has a number of positive effects. It is extracted from the seed and dried pulp of the fruit. Thanks to the use of cold pressing technology, it is possible to preserve all the beneficial substances.

You can buy oil at a pharmacy or cosmetic store.

The thick liquid stands out with its emerald green color and pleasant aroma. If, when purchasing a product, you notice any deviations from the standard, then it is better to abandon it.

Avocado oil reviews:

I ordered a jar of avocado oil on iHerb quite by accident, a moment of weakness, so to speak. I decided to buy it first, and then look for what to do with it. I wasn’t particularly sophisticated with the masks, I just dripped a few drops into the tonic, cream - in short, into everything I applied to my face. And my face shone and was moisturized, well, there was just a feeling of such lightness, softness, the skin did not bother, did not tighten... and there was such a wow effect exactly until the moment when my favorite jar was empty. And now, while waiting for the package, I found many more ways to use it to benefit my beauty and youth. Therefore, I recommend it to everyone!

Precautions for cosmetic procedures

When applying anti-wrinkle products with avocado oil to your face, it is important to remember:

  • This is a hypoallergenic product, but in rare cases it can cause allergies. Before such procedures, you should perform a test for allergic reactions.
  • The oil should be used with caution if you have oily skin. This can lead to clogged pores and acne.
  • It is necessary to avoid getting oil into the eyes when treating the eyelids. This may cause irritation, itching and burning.

Avocado oil for wrinkles

Those nasty folds are no fun for anyone. But you can’t hide or hide from them. If in your youth you don’t even want to think about age-related wrinkles, then facial lines are still a nuisance. In principle, avocado oil can be applied in a basic (pure) form, for example, to the skin around the eyes, but there are also more complex formulations. Let's look at them below:

Avocado oil mask with yolk

Take one dessert spoon of our butter and rub it with the yolk.

Apply with a brush to the skin for half an hour. We wash it off.

Recipe with sour cream

Use equal amounts of both ingredients in this mask. At the end, add carrot or pumpkin juice to the mixture, but based on the calculation - 1 tsp. vegetable juice per 1 tbsp. l. sour cream and butter mixture. Let the mixture sit for 20 minutes, then wash thoroughly.

Oil mask

Take the oil compositions of grape seed and avocado in a 1:1 ratio. Measure out a dessert spoon of the mixture and add 2 drops of fennel ether. This option is very effective for the eyelid area.

To evaluate the effect of homemade masks with the addition of avocado oil, take “before” and “after” photos. Do the procedures regularly; with a disposable mask, the complete disappearance of wrinkles is impossible.

Description

The seeds and dried pulp of the fruit are used to make oil. As a result of using cold-press technology, a viscous liquid of a beautiful emerald color with a pleasant aroma and taste of nuts is obtained. But the light yellow oil prepared from this fruit is of less value, since this product is refined, that is, it contains much less useful substances.

Unrefined alligator pear oil has a rich and varied composition, which includes:

  • Tocopherol or vitamin of youth, which provides high-quality hydration of the epidermis, and aging skin is often dehydrated.
  • Ascorbic acid is known for its ability to boost immunity. Moreover, we are talking not only about general, but also about local immunity. Thus, this substance makes it possible to increase the resistance of epidermal cells to negative external influences - frost, ultraviolet radiation, wind, etc.
  • Retinol has a pronounced ability to stop inflammatory processes and stimulate cell regeneration.
  • Fatty acids , including linolenic acid, ensure restoration of skin elasticity.
  • Phytohormones actively rejuvenate the skin, eliminating age-related pigmentation and smooth out wrinkles.
  • Squalene stimulates oxygen metabolism, due to which cells receive additional nutrition.

A unique property of the product is that the concentration of all listed active substances in the oil is quite high, which has a positive effect on the effectiveness of the product.

Avocado oil for the skin around the eyes - reviews

I applied avocado oil around my eyes for a month. There was no effect at all from the first four procedures. I already wanted to give up the idea of home cosmetology. But for some reason I continued, and now I’m very happy about it. My fine wrinkles on the bridge of my nose and forehead have disappeared. Will you believe it? But they just took it and disappeared!!! I won’t lie, I added facial exercises to the masks and began to frown less. But I’m sure it all worked in tandem. Now I repeat the masks, but less often, more for preventive purposes.

Contraindications

Avocado oil has one absolute contraindication: an allergic reaction to the components of the chemical composition of the product. The relative ones include:

  • Pregnancy. Throughout the entire period of bearing a child, a woman should be careful with all cosmetic products used so as not to harm the baby’s health.
  • Oily skin type. In this case, before using avocado oil, you should consult a cosmetologist, since there is a high probability that the product will not suit you.

It is necessary to take into account that facial hair (most often above the upper lip) obliges a woman to be extremely careful when using extracts from exotic berries. The product not only nourishes functioning hair follicles, but also awakens sleeping ones.

Further manipulations:

  1. Soak a napkin in pure oil and apply it to your face.
  2. Wait about 30 minutes and remove.

The first procedures are recommended to be done up to 3 times a day. After some time, they are limited to two or three sessions every 7 days.

Use for acne - reviews:

I used to use avocado oil exclusively for moisturizing in winter and summer when dry air dried out my skin. But recently I noticed another effect for myself - it also works against acne. When something like this appears on the horizon, I always have an aspirin tablet in reserve. But this time it was not there; there was an empty record in the medicine cabinet. I simply dropped some oil onto my fingertips and massaged it into my skin. I did this in the evening, in the morning the inflammation decreased several times, I hid everything with the help of one foundation. I repeated the procedure again at night - in the morning there was nothing left to cover up.

How to choose the right and useful product

It is better to take cold-pressed ether – emerald and with maximum beneficial properties. To know that you have not been deceived, pay attention to the following factors when choosing:

  1. Color. Yellow avocado oil is processed and not that healthy.
  2. Manufacturer. It is better that it be from the same country in which the berry itself grows - South America, Australia, Africa.
  3. Place of purchase. Take the ether at a pharmacy or specialized stores, where a competent salesperson can tell you production dates and places, and give useful advice. You should order from an online store only if you are already confident in the quality of the product.
  4. Storage conditions. Make sure they are followed. This is another point in favor of buying the product at the pharmacy.

Allergy test

Avocado oil is a hypoallergenic ester, but there is a possibility of developing allergic reactions. This may manifest as itching, irritation and redness of the skin when such products are applied to the skin of the body and face.
