Mint for face: essential oil, ice cubes, homemade mask

Today we will once again turn to the secrets of our grandmothers for facial care. And we will consider such an amazing product as cosmetic ice. Small, neat ice cubes perfectly restore blood flow in the dermis, improve metabolic processes and smooth the skin.

This means that, some time after you start using this amazing product, you will notice that your skin begins to look much better. Also, do not forget that every woman should remember that the key to a healthy facial epidermis is high-quality cosmetics. Therefore, you should not think that home cryotherapy can solve the problem of allergies.

Such miracles do not happen! And if you decide to use such a cosmetic product specifically to restore the epithelium of the face, then now we will tell you how to properly prepare ice pieces and whether they have any contraindications.

Therapeutic effects of ice against wrinkles

This procedure can work real miracles; the skin begins to breathe and renew itself from contact with ice. Frozen water is an excellent source of tone, narrowing pores and tightening tissue. The product eliminates puffiness and dark circles under the eyes.

Methodology for using cosmetic ice

It is necessary to wipe the skin over the entire surface of the face, as well as the neck and décolleté area. Contact with the skin should not be long; the procedure must be performed in circular movements, without stopping, barely touching the face. If the skin is very sensitive, then you need to wrap the piece in a thin material, for example, gauze folded in several layers.

Perform this action every day in the morning and evening. The skin is not wiped, it is allowed to absorb all the useful elements. After some time, wash with cool water and apply nourishing cream. If the epidermis is of the dry type, then wipe it with olive oil, the remains of which are blotted off with a napkin after a few minutes. It is necessary to take into account the existence of some diseases for which this technique should not be performed: vasodilation, skin on the face that is problematic with purulent acne, wounds, abscesses.

How to prepare mint

Mint can be grown in your garden. It is very convenient, it will always be at hand. Experts advise harvesting mint before flowering, in June or July. It is convenient to cut the plant with a knife or scissors. Dry it under a canopy, or in a room with plenty of fresh air. If the plant crumbles, it means it has dried out. It can be placed in glass jars or cotton bags and used in winter. If you do not have the opportunity to grow mint, you can buy it at a pharmacy or at the market from a herbalist.

Making cosmetic ice

Contrast baths with alternating ice and a hot compress are especially useful; the results of the procedure are visible the first time. Soak a soft towel in hot water, wring it out, place it on your face and keep it there for a few minutes. Then take ice and rub the skin. Finish the procedure with a small massage (lightly stroke the skin of the face and neck along the massage lines), apply a moisturizing day cream.

It is advisable to do a contrast bath with massage 2-3 times a week. During damp or cold weather, it is better to temporarily refrain from the procedure.

To make ice at home, you do not need any special skills. Suitable for this purpose:

  • distilled or mineral water without gas.
  • fresh fruits, berries, vegetables, herbal infusions (mint, St. John's wort, linden blossom, loose leaf tea, sage, chamomile).

Contraindications

Despite all the positive aspects and properties, this procedure may not be suitable for everyone. Contraindications to wiping your face with ice cubes are:

  • cold season - additional exposure to ice will create another reason for stress;
  • colds, exacerbation of chronic diseases;
  • diseases and damage to the skin;
  • inflammatory processes on the epidermis;
  • increased sensitivity;
  • dehydrated state of the dermis;
  • irritation.
