Dry skin type, at first glance, brings little trouble to its owners! At a young age, there are practically no rashes or enlarged pores, which is why the face looks very well-groomed and healthy. However, insufficient sebum production and improper care can trigger the appearance of early signs of aging. It is also a mistake to think that dry epidermis does not need a deep cleansing effect! Regular exfoliation is one of the fundamental stages of care, which will remove dead cells, as well as give the face a more uniform and healthy tone and increase the effectiveness of the cosmetic products used. How to choose the right exfoliator for dry skin? Don’t rush to buy a scrub in the store, I’ll tell you how you can make it without leaving home!
Mustard mask for dry skin
To prepare it, you need to take 1 teaspoon of mustard powder and mix it with the same volume of vegetable oil. You can add boiled water to obtain a more uniform consistency.
Mix everything thoroughly and apply to facial skin for 5 minutes. Wash with warm water.
If your skin is dry and pale, you can apply regular mustard plasters to your cheeks and cheekbones, also for 5 minutes. You will definitely need to thoroughly rinse off the remaining mustard and apply a nourishing cream to the skin.
Features of using scrubs on dry skin
Dry epidermis is usually thinner than other skin types, and, therefore, more sensitive to both care treatments and external factors! To achieve a positive effect from the use of scrubs, as well as eliminate the risk of negative reactions, follow the following recommendations:
- Exfoliation should be carried out regularly with a frequency of 1 procedure per week.
- Do not use the scrub on damaged skin (wounds, inflammation, sunburn).
- When using peelings with abrasive particles, avoid strong friction, this can damage the sensitive epidermis.
- Make-up and other impurities must be removed before exfoliation.
- Pre-steaming the skin will increase the effect of the procedure. You can do this as follows: soak a towel in hot water and apply it to your face for 10 minutes. This manipulation will open the pores and make it easy to remove even deep impurities.
- After using the scrub on dry skin, be sure to use a soothing tonic and nourishing cream, which will help eliminate the risk of irritation.
Honey-egg mask

After 20 minutes, remove the composition with a swab soaked in a decoction of linden blossom. If it is not available, you can simply wash your face with water at room temperature.
